If you’re getting this error message when you’re trying to redeem your Stockpile gift card, it’s probably because you’re trying to “buy stock” but don’t have any cash in your account. No worries – you just need to use the cash that’s on your gift card. Here's how to do it:
Log in to your account and click on the “Gift cards” tab on the left. You’ll see your Stockpile gift card there.
Click on “Redeem” to go through the redemption process and get your stock.
If you want to plan ahead for your next stock purchase, link your bank to your Stockpile account and click “get cash from bank” in your account dashboard. The cash transfer is free of charge.
