Account Requirements

Individual Accounts

To apply for an Individual Stockpile account, you must:

  • Be 18 years or older

  • Have a valid Social Security Number

  • Have a legal U.S. residential address within the 50 states, Puerto Rico, or the District of Columbia 

  • Be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have a valid U.S. visa*

Custodial Account

To apply for a Custodial Stockpile account, you, the custodian, must:

  • Be 18 years or older;

  • Have a valid Social Security Number

  • Have a legal U.S. residential address within the 50 states, Puerto Rico, or the District of Columbia

  • Be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have a valid U.S. visa*.

To apply for a Custodial Stockpile account, the beneficiary of the account, often a minor, must:

  • Have a valid Social Security Number

  • Have a legal U.S. residential address

  • Be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have a valid U.S. visa*.


*Unfortunately, this option is not available for citizens of the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) countries identified as high-risk and non-cooperative jurisdictions. You can view the list here.
