When looking at the cash balance of your Stockpile account we show you three different amounts.

Buying Power

The amount of cash currently available to purchase stock.

Withdrawable Cash

The amount of cash currently available to withdraw from your Stockpile account.

Unavailable Cash

Your cash may be unavailable for one of these reasons:

  • Pending Orders - Funds that have been set aside for a pending stock purchase order.

  • Unsettled Funds - When you sell a stock, it takes two trading days to receive the money from the buyer.  This is referred to as the "T+2 settlement date."  On day three, the funds will reflect in your "Withdrawable Cash."
