Two-factor authentication (2FA) is an extra layer of security for your Stockpile account during login. In addition to entering your user name and password, you’ll also enter a code that we send to your mobile phone. This additional step helps make sure that you, and only you, can access your account.

You will want to make sure you have downloaded the latest version of the mobile app.

How to turn on two-factor authentication (2FA)

  • Log into the Stockpile mobile app

  • Select the menu by tapping the account icon in the upper left-hand corner

  • Select Account

  • Select Security

  • Select the toggle button next to Two-factor authentication (2FA) to enable this additional security feature

  • You will have an option to update your phone number when turning the feature on. Please make sure that we have your current mobile phone number.

Once you enable the feature and ensure that your phone number is correct, we will send you a code via text message that you can enter to verify the phone number and complete the 2FA process.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I lose my phone?

  • If you no longer have access to your phone, please notify support@stockpile.com, and we will work with you to verify your identity and provide access to your account.

What if I don't want you to have my mobile phone number?

  • We will not be able to send a 2FA security code to you if we do not have a mobile phone number. This is a standard and necessary security practice.

  • No. At this time, 2FA is available to individual brokerage accounts and the custodian on custodial accounts.
