There are two ways to move cash from your bank account to your Stockpile account.

Using Your Bank Account

The first way (linked bank) enables you to move cash into your Stockpile within 3-5 business days through the use of a linked checking account. If you don't have a bank account linked, you can learn how by clicking here.

To get cash from your linked bank:

  • Open the sidebar menu

  • Tap on Banking

  • Tap on Get Cash from bank

  • Choose 3 day Transfer (instant transfer will allow you to send cash from a linked debit card and may be better for your investment needs, but instant transfers will not apply to ACH transfers)

  • Enter the amount of cash you want to transfer and hit Get cash

  • Your cash will settle into your stockpile account within 3-5 business days

  • Once the cash is settled you are then able to invest how you want.

Important Reminders

  • Please be sure you have enough cash in your checking account before you transfer any cash to Stockpile.  There's a $30 fee for failed bank transfers — a fee we hate, but this is what the bank charges when it happens, and we want to save you from ever having to pay it.

  • Due to the financial regulations, you will always need to have a bank account linked to withdraw money from your account.

Using your debit card

The second way (debit card) allows you to move cash in and buy stock instantly up to $200 (per day). To use a debit card instead:

Instant Transfer

  • Open the sidebar menu

  • Tap on Banking

  • Tap on Get Cash from bank

  • Choose Instant Transfer (The first time around, you'll need to "add a new debit card." From then on, you can select it as your saved card.)

  • Enter the amount of cash you want to transfer and hit Get cash

  • Your cash will be transferred to your account at which point you would then be able to invest how you want.

Keep in mind that most banks limit your transfer request to the amount you have in the bank.
